List of professions for Driving License in Qatar

As per Qatar’s law, only certain professionals can obtain a driving license.

The Traffic Department has a long list of professions with categories of workers who are not eligible to get a driving license in the country.

Those list gets updated occasionally but is not shared with the public. As the profession names are written in arabic it is even more complicated for non-Arab expatriates to check their profession on Qatar ID.

Professions other than those mentioned below are eligible. However, it’s always better to contact any Driving School for necessary and exceptional approvals with Traffic Department Headquarters is located at Madinat Khalifa.
